Aw - poor cat! So weighed down? I find querying nerve wracking, but when I'm not in that phase, I feel... hmmm... as if nothing's happening. As long as a query's out, the chance (although it feels sooooo miniscule) of getting a 'yes' is still there.
Ha! Perfect analogy. Querying definitely weighs you and your writing down. The weight is always there, but sometime it does seem lighter- like when you get full requests or compliments on your stuff from agents. But it never entirely dissapears:(
Anyway, I wanted to stop by and say thank you for your amazing feedback on my pitch. It was really helpful :)
And as a thank you, I tagged you in The Next Big Thing game that's going around among the fellow gutgaans or whatever it is they are calling us GUTGAA people. Check my blog for the game questions.

ReplyDeleteGood luck!
That was hysterical. Yes, very much like querying!! ;)
ReplyDeleteQuerying makes me feel more like this cat wearing shoes. I sort of forget how to walk... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eTA4SJ7aos&feature=fvwrel
ReplyDeletePoor kitty!
ReplyDeleteSo funny. I'm beginning my querying journey-1st real one going out this week-I already feel like that cat:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the follow!

And good luck!
If I get a rejection, it means I actually did something. It's the sending out (queries) that becomes a problem.
ReplyDeleteI pity the cat!
