How I Feel About Querying Right Now

I'm the cat . . . querying is the banana peel . . .

  1. Aw - poor cat! So weighed down? I find querying nerve wracking, but when I'm not in that phase, I feel... hmmm... as if nothing's happening. As long as a query's out, the chance (although it feels sooooo miniscule) of getting a 'yes' is still there.

    Good luck!

  3. Querying makes me feel more like this cat wearing shoes. I sort of forget how to walk... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eTA4SJ7aos&feature=fvwrel

  5. Ha! Perfect analogy. Querying definitely weighs you and your writing down. The weight is always there, but sometime it does seem lighter- like when you get full requests or compliments on your stuff from agents. But it never entirely dissapears:(

Anyway, I wanted to stop by and say thank you for your amazing feedback on my pitch. It was really helpful :)

And as a thank you, I tagged you in The Next Big Thing game that's going around among the fellow gutgaans or whatever it is they are calling us GUTGAA people. Check my blog for the game questions.

    And good luck!

  9. If I get a rejection, it means I actually did something. It's the sending out (queries) that becomes a problem.

    I pity the cat!
